We only cater for one function at a time to ensure your party receives the utmost service and exclusive use of the picturesque grounds. With the Country Chapel, the Smokehouse Restaurant and many romantic backdrops for wedding the bridal party will not have to leave the premises. Nor will you have to worry about guests becoming lost between the church and the function centre or them having to fill in two hours between the ceremony and the start of the reception

Situated in South Tweed Heads, Pioneer Country offers a genuine country setting, minutes away from beautiful beachfront accommodation and a little over an hour to Brisbane.

Have your guests relax on our wide verandahs, soaking in the view of the sunset over the lake while enjoying drinks and appetizers while you enjoy the opportunity to be photographed in some of the most unique settings the coast has to offer.  Pioneer Country abounds with original and antique features, such as the 100-year-old timber slab cottage, garden gazebo, carriages, fountain, majestic fig and bunya trees just to name a few.  Combine our historic 200 acre cattle property with the close proximity of those beautiful beaches you’ll have the most amazing photos of your special dayAt Pioneer Country we offer you sole use of our facilities and our staff have the experience to make your wedding truly magical. 

 

Arrive like royalty in our horse drawn carriages to the chapel, complete with red carpet and chandelier.  After the wedding the antique bell can be rung 15 times in medieval tradition to signify that a couple has been wed. This is all before making your grand entrance at the reception, catering for 60 – 200 guests (30 - 300 for cocktail weddings), the Pioneer Country function centre boasts a large dance floor and country bar.  With exposed timber beams and the genuine memorabilia surrounds, the scene is set for a night full of fun and memories.  All that Pioneer Country offers is on the same premises, with the chapel and function centre exclusively yours. This means that you do not ‘lose’ any of your guests between the wedding service and the reception, or to other facilities as so often happens with some reception venues.  So, stop dreaming of that perfect wedding, and escape to Pioneer Country!

To further simplify wedding day logistics we can pickup and return guests to local hotels & places of accommodation in our 28 seat bus.
